Use your iPhone or Windows Mobile device in the field

JobSync users in the field carry a handheld PDA running the JobSync Mobile software. JobSync Mobile contains all of the information the user needs to complete their task in the field.

For example, a sales rep will have all of their customer accounts accessible on the device, including contact details, outstanding balances and previous orders.

If the sales rep was selling goods, all these goods would be available for selection during the order taking process, including pricing, discounts, stock on hand quantities and more. Service professionals have access to service items that are regularly performed, and are able to track their time against each task. Delivery (and/or pick up) drivers have a run list to work off, containing the addresses they need to visit as well as the related orders.

Information recorded on the handheld can be transmitted immediately over the Internet using the mobile phone network. Alternatively users can choose to dock the device to a computer with Internet access, or connect to a WiFi hotspot. It's important to note that the handheld stores its information locally and therefore users don't need to be constantly connected to a mobile phone network and run the risk of dropping out of coverage.

The handheld component of JobSync is available on Windows Mobile devices as well as on iPhone. Organisations can mix and match devices based on the needs of each user and their operating environment.

Use your web browser for online access

The JobSync web portal allows JobSync Mobile users or their managers to login and review the information being recorded in the field. A dashboard page shown when you first login plots charts and graphs identifying sales rep performance, popular item sales and top customers. Reports can be printed into to PDF’s, and data can be imported and exported in Excel. Administrators can use the portal to manage lookup data and perform administrative tasks.

The web portal also allows information to be recorded online, such as order taking, customer creation and delivery run list allocations. Practically everything that can be done on JobSync Mobile can also be accomplished using the JobSync website.You can even provide your customers with an online portal to place orders themselves

Built-in support for integration into any third party system

Whilst JobSync is a capable, standalone product in its own right, nearly all JobSync implementations will interact with a third party system in some form.

You might want to pull customer and inventory data from your accounting system to populate JobSync, and then have orders taken by sales reps automatically downloaded back into another system. The needs of each business are unique in this area, and we can develop suitable integration packages to sit between your backend system(s) and JobSync.

We also have a JobSync SDK (Software Developers Kit) that can be used by external developers to easily integrate their systems with JobSync, if that is preferred. Out of the box, JobSync also offers data import and export facilities using Excel spreadsheets.
